In Blurred Lines, Lauren Fay shares her raw and revelatory journey from self-abandonment to conscious sobriety. Through intimate storytelling and soul-centered insight, she reveals how alcohol masked a deeper soul crisis—and how reclaiming choice, self-trust, and connection to intuition can turn addiction into a gateway for empowerment and spiritual freedom.
What began as a way to escape pressure, perfectionism, and the impossibly high bar Lauren Fay had set for herself spiraled into full-blown addiction. But alcohol wasn’t the root problem—it was the symptom of a soul in crisis. Spiritually bankrupt and aching with loneliness and shame, Lauren had lost connection to her intuition, aliveness, and sense of purpose. The more she drank, the further she drifted from the woman she longed to be.
Through sharing her story, Lauren turns that struggle into a powerful message: she challenges the mainstream narrative that addiction means you’re powerless, showing instead how it can become a profound opportunity to return to yourself through empowered choice. Sobriety, she reveals, is about reclaiming love, purpose, and the parts of yourself you thought were lost.
Blurred Lines is both a memoir and a message: addiction isn’t the end of your story—it’s the most sacred invitation of your life.

WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY
YOU ARE A VERY COMPELLING WRITER. I AM LITERALLY ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT.
IT ABSOLUTELY BLEW ME AWAY. SO RAW AND POWERFUL...I'M STILL PROCESSING. AMAZING WORK!
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW.
IT REALLY SPOKE TO ME. IT FELT SO RAW AND REAL, THAT I FELT INSTANTLY CONNECTED AND DRAWN INTO YOUR STORY.
I'M EMOTIONAL. THIS IS REALLY REALLY GOOD!!!
you are a brilliant, brilliant writer. I was in the story with you. I could feel your pain. I felt like i was there and couldn't stop reading. absolutely amazing!
I built my life around secrets. On the outside, I was a Naval officer's daughter and fitness professional—the picture of discipline. But behind closed doors, I was dating a drug dealer, addicted to alcohol and cocaine, and spiraling into a spiritual bankruptcy so deep I even tried to take my own life.
That moment became my turning point. In not dying, I chose to actually live and to become sober, finding my own path beyond the traditional way. I didn’t want “addict” or “alcoholic” to be my primary identity. Instead, I found spirituality, became a Reiki Master, and created a new pathway to healing—one rooted in empowerment, not powerlessness.
And that’s what Blurred Lines is about: my double life, the secrets I carried that nearly killed me, and the freedom I found —spiritually, mentally, emotionally—as a sober woman when I stopped letting addiction define me.
Hi! I’m Lauren Fay. I’m a holistic alcohol-free empowerment coach, keynote speaker, author, and Reiki Master Teacher. My work is devoted to helping ambitious women reclaim their freedom through elective and conscious sobriety.
I’ve been alcohol-free since my very first attempt on January 25, 2018, and what I’ve learned is that sobriety isn’t just removing alcohol—it’s a sacred and deeply personal path of self-discovery. For me, it was about reclaiming my power, rebuilding trust in myself, and aligning my life with my true values. I am a living testament to what becomes possible when we make the empowering decision to create a life beyond alcohol.
Blurred Lines is my debut book, published through BOSS (Being of Sacred Service) Books, a boutique house specializing in spiritual teachers, and is a reflection of my mission: to transform sobriety into a sacred, empowering practice.
